These supporting constructional elements in the form of perforated batts are used for the individual construction of weight-optimized kiln car superstructures, which are used in particular for the firing of sanitary ceramics. Due to the positive influence of the convective flow and a homogeneous temperature distribution compared to traditional refractory ceramics, the perforated plate structure leads to a significantly lower thermal mass, resulting in lower energy costs and in a significantly lower reject rate, with regard to certain fault characteristics in the sanitary ware.
