Schunk Smart Charging

Our charging current collectors ensure reliable current transmission between the charging infrastructure and the energy storage devices of electric vehicles. They ensure reliable power transmission up to 1,000A using a multi-pole concept and maintain a defined contact sequence during contact. The SLS 102, 103 and SLS 201 charging current collectors cover a large working range. Contact occurs within 5 seconds thanks to an innovative drive and lightweight-engineering concept. All charging current collectors feature precise compensation for parking deviations during the contacting and charging process.

Our charging current collector SLS 102 and 103 is installed on the electric vehicle. Contact with the charging infrastructure follows the "bottom up" principle. Our inverted current collector SLS 201, on the other hand, is integrated into the charging infrastructure ("upside down") and requires only a compact counterpiece on the electric vehicle.

  • Multi-pole concept (at least four poles) and contact sequence for a reliable charging process
  • Precise compensation for parking deviations and kneeling effects during the charging process
  • High power transmission in just a few seconds

Example applications include electric buses and port vehicles – our patented contact systems can also be adapted to other vehicles and specific customer requirements, however.
