Ideas made real – high-tech designs inspired by nature’s excellence at “COMPOSITES EUROPE 2018“

We invite you to visit COMPOSITES EUROPE 2018, where Schunk Carbon Technology will be presenting the latest solutions in the field of composite components and materials. Come and experience firsthand how you can benefit from our lightweight solutions and get to know our product highlights.

For the electric motors of the future: CFRP sleeves
An ultra-thin lightweight material in a high-load environment at extremely high rotational speeds – is that really a good idea? You bet! Our carbon- and glass fiber reinforced sleeves in permanent magnet motors enable efficient, profitable alternatives to commutator motors.

Efficient and ready for serial production: pressed lightweight solutions made of C-SMC
We introduce Carbon Fiber Sheet Molding Compounds (C-SMC) that can be efficiently produced in series. C-SMC are roughly 40% lighter than aluminum, they offer a high degree of design freedom and hence the possibility for integral construction – thus reducing the overall number of components. Discover the wide range of applications!

The aircraft industry is taking off: with oxide-fiber reinforced oxide ceramics Ox/Ox
Our oxide ceramics composite materials stand out under extreme conditions, e.g. at temperatures over 1,000° C in oxidizing atmospheres. That’s why these components are ideal for modern aircraft turbines. Yet, we’re always thinking ahead and are already working on solutions for the next but one turbine generation: silicon-carbide-fiber reinforced silicon carbide ceramics.

COMPOSITES EUROPE 2018 opens doors in Stuttgart from 6 through 8 of November 2018. Visit us in Hall 7, Stand D09 – we look forward to seeing you!

You are also invited to an exciting talk on the subject of “Less Weight, More Power” that will be delivered by Dr. Anastasiia Solodovnyk at the COMPOSITES Forum on 8 November, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
