Charging up the Future
Schunk Smart Charging is advancing the development of e-mobility as the innovative charging system from Schunk Carbon Technology is opening completely new opportunities with respect to efficiency, performance and flexibility. Battery-driven vehicles can be safely and reliably recharged within seconds at the depot or even during operation. Future-oriented novelties, such as the inverted pantograph with Soft-Stop, are ideal both for electric buses and for other electric vehicles in harbors, mines or at airports.
The third-largest airport in Europe, Amsterdam Schiphol, has been using Schunk Smart Charging in more than 100 electric buses since April 2018. Urban transit authorities in the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and France are also currently involved in the project phase. Schunk even has the fitting solution for safely and reliably charging electric cars.
